The left back picked up a hamstring injury in the Buccaneers' 1-0 win over CS Sfaxien on Sunday in the CAF Confederation Cup. The player was substituted after 70 minutes and according to Pirates' official website, looks likely to miss the clash with Kaizer Chiefs this weekend.

With 41932 votes, 'Festival' is currently part of Bucs’ starting line-up, however due to his injury it looks increasingly likely that 21-year-old Gumede will step into his place in the starting XI for Saturday’s clash with the Amakhosi.

Voting for the competition closed last night and the votes will be officially audited today before the final line-ups are confirmed and announced later tonight.

In other news, Pirates have confirmed that defenders Rooi Mahamutsa and Patrick Phungwayo are suffering with Achilles injuries and will spend some time with the medical staff.

New signing, Gift Motupa, has returned to training after suffering an ankle injury while on Bafana Bafana duty.
