Word coming out of Holland is that Ajax Amsterdam will make a move for PEC Zwolle’s South African star, Kamohelo Mokotjo, should they sell Netherlands international, Daley Blind.
Blind had a fantastic season for Ajax in 2013/14, attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, while Mokotjo was a standout performer for Zwolle during the course of their campaign, helping guide them to KNVB Cup victory.
Mokotjo has now been linked with a move to the Dutch capital for a while now, where he would join compatriot, Thulani Serero, with his teammate Diederik Boer, also believed to be a target for the reigning champions.
According to the Dutch media, should one of Blind’s admirers such as Manchester United or Barcelona manage to land the 24-year-old, then Ajax’s first target as his replacement will be Zwolle’s former SuperSport United man.
Mokotjo had a difficult few years with Feyenoord before securing a move to Zwolle with whom he has come on leaps and bounds, making himself one of the most important players within their squad, going on to win the Fans Player of the Season award.
