Mahlangu On Verge Of Turkish Move
Banned Bafana Bafana midfielder, May Mahlangu, is believed to be on the verge of signing for Turkish Super Lig club, Torku Konyaspor, and is currently on his way for talks with the club.
The Siya crew has been informed that the 25-year-old is likely to complete his move to Konyaspor in the next 48 hours, with his future set to be finalised after months of speculation.
Mahlangu left Swedish club, Goteborg, when his contract expired in December, and there has been plenty of talk as to where his next move would be, especially given that he is a free agent.
However, the crew is now led to believe that the former Helsingborgs IF man is set to put pen to paper in Turkey over the next couple of days, and will then be hoping to make an impact at the Turkish club.
Konyaspor are currently 15th in the Super Lig after 17 games, and will be hoping that Mahlangu, if he does sign, can help them climb up the table in the second half of the season.
A number of South Africans have previously had success in Turkey such as Shoes Moshoeu and Pollen Ndlanya, and Mahlangu will be hoping to do the same.
