Stuart Baxter has hinted that he might make changes to the Kaizer Chiefs’ starting line-up, for their game against Edu Sports FC on the weekend.
The Amakhosi are preparing for their Nedbank Cup last 32 game against the ABC Motsepe League side on Saturday, February 21.
Baxter has been making a few changes to his team in the past two games, against Township Rollers FC in the CAF Champions League, and in the league tie against SuperSport United respectively.
The notable change has been in the goalkeeping department, where Itumeleng Khune and Brilliant Khuzwayo have been both given a chance between the sticks.
Siphiwe Tshabalala and Mandla Masango are some of the players that have been in and out of the starting line-up in the last two games. Morgan Gould made a return to the starting 11 against SuperSport, after a long absence.
Baxter has been quoted by the official PSL Twitter account saying that changes could be expected from his side.
“We will be making changes but not because we are underestimating Edu Sports. Well-tried players might not have the hunger against Edu Sports. We will make changes,” the official PSL Twitter account quoted Baxter.
Chiefs will aim to begin their 2015 Nedbank Cup campaign with a win like Orlando Pirates and Mpumalanga Black Aces achieved in their midweek games, against Tornado FC and Maritzburg United respectively.
