Speaking after his side's 2-0 win over Thanda Royal Zulu, Mamelodi Sundowns head coach, Pitso Mosimane, says he knew it would be tough against the National First Division side.
Goals from Alje Schut and Teko Modise ensured the Brazilians advanced into the Last 16 of the Nedbank Cup and Mosimane believes lower league side's lack concentration when it comes to set-pieces.
"It was not going to be easy, we played against a first division team, that's why they are top three," Mosimane said after the game.
"We earned it, we had to fight for it, took us 60 minutes to score a goal, it was not easy, but you know all these teams they lack concentration on set-pieces but it's an experience.
"But I must give credit to Thanda, they came here, they put up a fight, they showed why they are top three."
The former Bafana Bafana boss also revealed why he decided to replace Anthony Laffor with Hlompho Kekena.
"Sometime you play home and you play these so called small teams but they were coming inside, they nearly scored coming through Rama and Alje and I just can't take a risk," he added.
"It's not about why I dont put in a second striker, It's about taking this game and when Kekana came, it was sorted, they never made one chance."
