Following what was a memorable 2018/19 football campaign for Ajax Amsterdam, captain Matthijs de Ligt delivered an end-of-season speech that won the hearts of many. Have you seen it?
The Dutch side, brimming with talent, managed to secure their 34th Eredivisie league title recently, capping off a season filled with success.
Another of Ajax's highlights would no doubt be that of reaching the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League, seeing off the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus along the way.
As such, the club's 19-year-old captain De Ligt beamed with pride during the club's recent trophy tour, and delivered a riveting speech to the supporters, speaking highly of the young team's fearlessness and how they showed the world what the club is all about, and it left the football fraternity in awe.
