The 23-year-old appeared to lose his cool during PSG's big win over Montpellier last Saturday, which has brought on widespread criticism.
Mbappe stopped running with the team and threw up his hands in anger during a counter-attack after teammate Vitinha opted to not pass him the ball in favour of giving it to Lionel Messi instead.
Former Les Bleus and Chelsea star Frank Lebouef was not impressed with the French forward's actions on the field.
"If I were [PSG manager] Christophe Galtier, at the end of the game I would say to him: 'Kylian, I love you, but what the hell are you doing?'" he told ESPN.
"'It's the last time you do this. I don't care if you're the star of the team, you can't do this.'
"It's a shame. I'm ashamed now because I adore him and I can't understand it.
"He's an example for the youth, he knows that and he should never have done that."
