George Lebese is fast running out of time in securing a move away from Mamelodi Sundowns as the January 31 transfer deadline quickly approaches.
The midfielder has openly spoken about his frustration at the lack of game-time since leaving Kaizer Chiefs for his boyhood club, in what was billed a high-profile switch at the start of last season.
Following his 'come and get me plea' in November, the player has been linked with several clubs – among them Bloemfontein Celtic, Cape Town City, Golden Arrows and SuperSport United. But his previous employers, Chiefs, have made it clear to him that the door is closed for a return.

Lebese, who has a contract with Sundowns until June 2020, is desperately looking for a loan this month, although finding a permanent new club would be ideal. But so far nothing has been confirmed yet other than the behind the scenes talks the Siya crew has reported on recently.
His salary demands and the location of what would be his next destination are believed to be some of the contributing factors for the delay in Lebese's Sundowns exit being confirmed.
What would frustrate him more, however, is being stuck at Chloorkop for the remainder of the season when it is clear that he is nowhere near the first team as affirmed by coach Pitso Mosimane just before Christmas.
The players' camp has until Thursday next week to work on a suitable deal for not just him, but Sundowns – who he is still contracted to.
