Real Madrid forward, Gareth Bale, broke a 20-year-old record with his goal in Los Blancos' 4-0 thumping of Sevilla.

Lineker's record of 42 goals stood for 20 years, but the Los Blancos superstar has now overtaken the former England international with 43 goals.
A list of the leading British goal scorers also features former England internationals, David Beckham and Michael Owen, both of whom have netted 13 goals each.
