La Liga giants Real Madrid have had their fair share of mishaps when it comes to letting players go a little too soon. Here are 10 players Los Blancos may be regret having let go so soon.

First up on this list, we take a closer look at former Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o. The African started his career with the Madrid-based side but was continuously overlooked during the Galactico’s era. The striker eventually left the club in 2000 and decided to join Mallorca - the rest is all history now.
Argentina midfielder Esteban Cambiasso is another superstar the Spanish club arguably left go a little too early. After joining the club in 1996, the player found himself becoming a first team regular after a few season, but when the Galactico project stalled his career in Madrid, he was later sold to Inter Milan where he went onto win five Serie A titles and the UEFA Champions League.
After forming a formidable partnership with Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, many found the sale of Angel Di Maria strange at the time. The Argentine helped the club secure the 2013-14 Champions League, but a season later was later shipped off to Manchester United in order to fund a new star’s arrival.
Real Madrid did seemingly learn from two of their mistakes in recent times, however, in bringing Dani Carvajal and Alvaro Morata back to the club. The La Liga giants initially sold both of these stars are young ages, but quickly brought them back once they started showing their true potential.
Other players Real have let go a little too early in recent times include Claude Makelele, Mesut Ozil, Juan Mata, Jose Callejon and Clarence Seedorf.
