Agent: I Don't Have Bad Blood With Mmodi

Pule Mmodi's agent Solomon Seobe says he goes way back with his client and does not want to hold grudges against him for reportedly signing for Kaizer Chiefs without his representation

Mmodi's previous contract with Golden Arrows is set to expire at the end of this month.

Coincidentally, the Bafana Bafana forward was also in the last year of his contract with Seobe.

The agent has has expressed that the public needs to consider where he took the player from, from being an unknown name in the past.

"It's bitter sweet but you know if you know a player from far back, then you're just sad. You take it on your chin and say let him go and do his business," Seobe told Radio 2000's Game On

"No bad blood, because we come too far. There were a lot of hard situations that we conquered. He's from Theunissen outside of Bloemfontein.

"It's a poverty stricken area, you see poverty there. I saw potential in him and went all out, buying soccer boots and everything.

"(But) just like a good parent you don't take your kid to school for him or her to support you in future. You take him or her to school so he can be a better person and live a better life," he said.

"With players also, I'm happy he has signed and he's happy. We can't remain enemies, I can't hold grudges because my job will become harder next time."

Meanwhile, Seobi also revealed that Chiefs were not willing to bid for the services of Mmodi in January and he negotiated with other clubs, although no deal materialized.

"There was a story around January about Kaizer Chiefs. So I phoned Kaizer Chiefs and they told me that no they are not interested in the player," he said.

"The clubs I was negotiating with are clubs other than Kaizer Chiefs," he clarified.
