The name Mhlengi Cele may ring a few bells for some people, following a spell with Chippa United, but the Thanda Royal Zulu man is on fire in the National First Division. Read: Shakes Shocked By Lack Of SAFA Support Cele had an uninspiring spell at Chippa – netting just two goals in 30 games for the club - following his move from Thanda in 2014 - but now back on loan at the team where he made his name, the 29-year-old is well and truly finding his feet again. After scoring on his debut against Magesi back in August, Cele has gone on to score 12 goals in nine games for Amabhubesi, averaging a goal every 67 minutes and bagging two hattricks for the NFD league leaders. Only Real Kings and Santos have been able to stop the in-form striker from scoring so far in the NFD this season, while he smashed four past Witbank Spurs and three past FC Cape Town. There will no doubt be a host of Absa Premiership clubs keeping tabs on Cele over the next two months, and should his incredible form continue then Thanda may be receiving a phone call from the Chilli Boys asking for his loan deal to be cut short. The forward now has more league goals over the last 66 days than he had scored in the previous four seasons of his career combined.
