New FC Barcelona striker, Luis Suarez, has promised he won’t bite for a fourth time, while the club confirmed they only paid £65 million to Liverpool.
Suarez was officially unveiled by the Catalan giants today after CAS had allowed him to partake in club events, training sessions as well as friendlies.
"I say to fans, don't worry, because I won't do that anymore," he promised.
"I am speaking to professionals - the right professionals. But it is a private matter and I don't want to comment further on that.
"Of course I was concerned - not just about the transfer to Barcelona but more for me as a person. But, as I've said, that's in the past now and I'm trying to concentrate on Barcelona.
"Everything that happens in the past, that needs to be forgotten. If I start thinking about everything I've gone through, I wouldn't be able to sleep."
Meanwhile, Barcelona vice-president, Jordi Mestre, confirmed that the actual amount which the club paid for the striker is £65 million instead of the £75 million which were widely reported in the news.
"Negotiations started before the World Cup and we worked hard to come to a final figure of £65m. We were originally quoted over €90m (£72m),” Mestre added.
"He had much better offers than ours financially but he wanted to come to Barcelona. He made a great effort - financially and personally - to be here."
