With Orlando Pirates still enjoying an impressive form under Josef Zinnbauer, one star is believed to have shown signs of readiness and is understood to be itching for a return to official matches.
After making only one substitute appearance earlier in the season, under the club's former caretaker coach Rulani Mokwena, Austin Muwowo had been out of the picture at the Buccaneers until recently.
The Zambian international made a surprise return to the matchday squad against Chippa at the weekend – his first under Zinnbauer, though he remained an unused substitute.
The 23-year-old, who joined Pirates at the back of an impressive season with Forest Rangers back home after finishing as the Player of the Season, is, according to sources, impressive in Bucs training.
Following his debut match against Golden Arrows in August, Mowowo was lauded by Mokwena for his performance, though the Buccaneers didn't win the match, after playing a 0-0 draw in Orlando.

"He has a left foot that is very, very sweet. He has a good touch on the ball. He has the ability to play both outside and inside. In other words, he can play as a number 10 and he can play on the line to isolate and dribble. He has the ability to play beyond the defence and score goals as he did in Zambia," Mokwena had been quoted as having said, in part about Muwowo, at the time.
With Pirates' in-form forward Gabadinho Mhango set to miss the weekend's Nedbank Cup match against Bidvest Wits due to suspension, Muwowo could be one of the players in line for a starting berth for Sunday afternoon's clash.
