Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho has said that his team are not favourites to win this season’s Premier League.
Mourinho’s men have the chance to go five points clear of Manchester City when they face Swansea on Saturday, and, even though Manuel Pellegrini’s men face a far more difficult test against Arsenal on Sunday, Mourinho believes that his team are still mere title “candidates”.
“We are not favourites, we are candidates,” the Portuguese manager told The Mirror. "We have led from day one but if we were two points behind I would say the same.”
Mourinho went on to discuss his meetings with referees after matches, and did not deny that he questioned Phil Dowd’s weight when asked about the matter.
“I go to the referees' dressing room after the game with the captains,” said Mourinho. “We can go 30 minutes after.
“Sometimes the words are normal and wish good luck for the next game. Other times we discuss what happened in the game like men. Sometimes they are surprised.”
