Africa's Player of the Year seemed to have a sly dig at one of Manchester United's new signings for the manner in which he left his former club.
Borussia Dortmund superstar Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang appears to have taken a swipe at former teammate and Armenian international Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
When asked about how some of his formr teammates handled their transfers in this window, the Gabon star admitted that he was not impressed with how things went down.
"In the end, all involved have to be pleased with it, and you still have to be able to look each other in the eye," Aubameyang said, as quoted by the Daily Express.
"It's about how you do it. And a few things were done in public recently which were not okay, and which you are not necessarily able to relate to as a colleague."
The African also insisted that if he were to leave BVB, he would be as transparent about it as he could be.
"Those who know me know that I am an open and honest guy, and it will always stay like that," Aubameyang added.
"Should there be talks about a transfer one day, things will run smoothly, I promise that."
Germany midfielder Ilkay Gundogan and defender Mats Hummels also left the Bundesliga side in this transfer window, for Manchester City and Bayern Munich respectively.
