Another Bloemfontein Celtic star has confirmed having plans for leaving the Free State club, after long-serving Patrick Tignyemb's exit.

Celtic defender, Ronald Pfumbidzai, has confirmed interest in joining a new club for the 2019/20 season.

In discussing Zimbabwe's chances for the upcoming African Cup of Nations, Pfumbidzai confirmed looking at using the tournament to increase his chances of a possible move away from Siwelele.

The 24-year-old left-back will be in Egypt for the prestigious tournament with Zimbabwe senior national team, after being named in coach Sunday Chidzambwa's squad.

"I am really excited to be going to the African Cup of Nations tournament. It will be my first time to play at the tournament and am looking forward to be there," the defender told the media in Zimbabwe.

"I take it as an opportunity to showcase my talents so that I can secure a new club abroad. It's a good chance for me. It's not about me marking Salah or whoever, we play as a team, but I am not scared of anyone. As someone who grew up in the ghetto, I am not afraid to face anyone," he added.

As reported in edition 1123 of Soccer Laduma, Pfumbidzai's contract with Celtic is set to end in June. The player has attracted interest from the PSL and overseas, as reported.

Pfumbidzai's representative, Michael Ngobeni from M Sport Management, told the Siya crew at the time, "Ronald Pfumbidzai is left with a year's option on his deal with the club. There is interest in the player from South African clubs that are chasing him, as well as from outside."
