As reported by the Siya crew, an overseas move has been completed for a PSL defender who is looking at reviving his career in the new season.
After finishing the 2021/22 season with Jomo Cosmos, Frédéric Nsabiyumva has been assessing his options for a potential move away from the PSL, after spending nine years in Mzansi.
As confirmed by the player's representative Mohammed Lawal, the 27-year-old former Chippa United defender has secured a move to Västerås SK in the Swedish second tier.
"Frédéric Nsabiyumva has signed in Sweden. He signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with Västerås SK. We are just waiting for his work permit now for him to travel to Sweden," said Lawal.
Nsabiyumva is a Burundian international who was introduced to South African football by the legendary Jomo Sono in 2013.
The centre-back was previously linked with a move to France.
