CAF have announced their Team of the Year for 2016 and three Mamelodi Sundowns players have been included among some European-based stars.

Sundowns trio Khama Billiat, Keagan Dolly and Denis Onyango have been included in the star-studded team, with Dolly being the first South African to be named in the Team of the Year.
Premier League stars such as Riyad Mahrez, Sadio Mane and Manchester United's Eric Bailly have been included in the team. While, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also made the cut after an impressive 2016 season with Borussia Dortmund.
CAF African XI of the Year:
Goalkeeper: Denis Onyango (Mamelodi Sundowns)
Defenders: Serge Aurier (Paris Saint-Germain), Aymen Abdennour (Valencia), Eric Bailly (Manchester United), Joyce Lomalisa (AS Vita).
Midfielders: Khama Billiat (Mamelodi Sundowns), Rainford Kalaba (TP Mazembe), Keagan Dolly (Mamelodi Sundowns).
Forwards: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Borussia Dortmund), Sadio Mane (Liverpool) , Riyad Mahrez (Leicester City).
