UnderGround Soccer (UGS) is kicking off a bold new chapter in Gauteng’s street football scene with the launch of its first-ever permanent courts in Clubview, Centurion. To celebrate, UGS will host the Street Kings launch tournament on Sunday, 27 July 2025 at Clubview Tennis Club from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Expect high-energy 3v3 battles, solo skills challenges, Techball tournaments - plus cash prizes and giveaways from tournament sponsors Playboy and Status deodorants.
Unlike pop-up games, these new permanent courts create a true home for UGS leagues, offering a next-level street soccer experience. Each of the three custom-designed courts has its own set of rules and obstacles, but one thing stays the same: get shiboboed and you’re out for 30 seconds. Points lost. Pride dented.
Here’s what’s happening on launch day:
- 3v3 UGS tournament:
- R240 per team to enter (4 players per squad, no goalkeepers)
- Winner takes all: R6,000 cash prize

Beyond the launch event, UGS leagues offer a structured way for street footballers to prove themselves. Players start at level 1 in their local league and work their way up through five levels. At the top, elite teams earn invites to VIP and secret tournaments, ultimately aiming for a spot in the exclusive Street Pro League.
