Sibusiso Zuma Answers The Rest Of Your Questions

Sibusiso Zuma Answers The Rest Of Your Questions

"Rhee" is in the house and is answering your questions. Today, Sibusiso Zuma discusses the highlight of his career, what it was like playing at African Wanderers, the possibility of coaching, what keeps him busy these days, and what life was like before he became a professional footballer.

What was the highlight of your career? – Lusenathi_magwashu

Every player has that defining moment in his career, mine will be that famous overhead kick in Denmark.

In the rest of your playing career, did you ever come across a trio as deadly as the one you had at African Wanderers (Sibusiso Zuma, Siyabonga Nomvethe, and Phumlani Mkhize)? – Joey Negro

There were others, but none as deadly as the African Wanderers trio.

What are you busy doing now? – Mishackthambamtsane

Busy with my new sportwear label that I'm launching in Copenhagen on 17 April, I'm really excited about it. The money from this is going to the sports center I want to build in my township, Hammarsdale, in Durban. The second thing I'm busy with is Haithi, the company we opened with a few ex-footballers. Focusing on making sure that our up-and-coming players are trained in world-class facilities, and young players are developed properly.

Would you ever consider coaching? – Mentashe

Of course, as soon as I'm done with the things I'm busy with.

What went through your mind as you went for that bicycle kick? – Lapo_Malebatsi

If you are too scared to try something like that on the field, a football career is not your thing. I tried that in front of 45 000 people because that's what we do as footballers, we try our best to win the match.

What was life like for you and your family before you became a professional footballer? – Nikolaos Kirkinis

Both my parents passed away at the beginning of my career, so I had to grow up fast, had to make sure my brothers and sisters finished school, had to make sure there was food on the table. Family comes first where I'm from. I was raised that way.

What did you think of this interview? Who would you like to hear from next?
