The much-anticipated Soweto Derby is almost on our doorstep as Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates gear up to do battle at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
The Buccaneers drew their midweek encounter against Platinum Stars, while their opponents are in high spirits after securing a 2-1 victory over Mamelodi Sundowns. However, going into a derby, form gets thrown out of the window, and it all boils down to which side comes out fighting to win the bragging rights of Soweto.
Pirates legend Thabo Mngomeni recently spoke about the match, saying he thinks the Mayfair-based team will walk away 3-1 victors. The supporters have reacted to his views, with some feeling that Amakhosi will be the winners on the day.
