'It's Disappointing To Hear Pirates Refused To Plead Guilty On Charges Against Them'

Following the sanctioning of Kaizer Chiefs for the crowd violence that took place at FNB Stadium earlier this month, when the Glamour Boys played against Chippa United, questions were asked regarding the length of time it took to punish both Amakhosi and arch-rivals, Orlando Pirates.

Bucs' verdict for the incident that took place in February last year at Loftus Versfeld Stadium only came a few days before Chiefs' sanctioning. The PSL's Luxolo September has explained that the reason it took longer to punish Bucs is because the Soweto giants refused to plead guilty and tried to contest the charges that were laid against them, whereas the Naturena side pleaded guilty right away.

Supporters Club members have shared their views regarding Mr September's statement, with some still issuing red cards, so to speak, for the barbaric acts that have been happening recently at stadiums.

"The only way to get all these criminals and thieves who destroy our stadiums is that the PSL should come up with a reward for those who can help to identify all this criminals who were responsible for violence at the stadium, they must also print all the footage and their pictures must be pasted everywhere in the country, and they must be arrested for 10 years so that this must be a lesson to all criminals who come to the stadium not to watch soccer but to cause havoc." – @SCHUSTE

"I don't care who says what – what happened at Moses Mabhida must never happen in our modern football. Everyone must take a defeat like the rest of us. I condemned Pirates for invading the pitch, but they didn't burn the stadium, and I'm going do it again with these hooligans." – chiefs is useless

"It is disappointing to hear that Pirates refused to plead guilty on charges against them after their fans invaded the pitch at Loftus trying to stop Sundowns from humiliating them further. Yet some of their fans are calling Chiefs fans hooligans. I applaud Chiefs for accepting the charges, meaning that they are against hooliganism." – Pks

How long do you think it should take for teams to be punished for any charges laid against them?
