The recent Soweto Derby produced many talking points, as Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates fans discussed the result during and after the game.
What's the story?
It was Amakhosi who claimed all the bragging rights in the recent Soweto Derby, the second time they had done so in the 21/22 DStv Premiership season.
In November 2021, Chiefs were 2-1 winners over their bitter rivals, thanks to a brace from Keagan Dolly, who was one of the standout performers on the day.
This time around, The Glamour Boys managed to beat the Buccaneers with the same scoreline as Reeve Frosler and Erick Mathoho got their names on the scoresheet.
Bragging Rights
Also stamping his name all over the fixture was Bernard Parker, who put on a man-of-the-match display in a fixture he featured in on 30 occasions. Die Hond managed to record an assist in the process as he showcased his class.
That being said, Amakhosi fans were undoubtedly the happier lot during and after the game as they flocked to social media in voicing their delight after beating Pirates.
Here are some of the reactions:
Credit to all the Players today They really played with their Hearts and a very well Deserved Win, We could've killed them with 3 to zero but the Officials had No Peace on Us,

Its time to sort out this mess in Bucs camp including the club management (Club management don't know why they are in Pirates 's office if we keep losing game like this)

Play your best players, surely Mhango is way better than Peprah. The less said about the goalkeeper the better.
