Following the horrific scenes witnessed by many on Saturday at Moses Mabhida Stadium, during a Nedbank Cup semi-final encounter between Kaizer Chiefs and Free State Stars, supporters continue to voice their opinions.
Our members have condemned the barbaric behaviour of those supporters who invaded the pitch and resorted to violence after Chiefs' 2-0 loss to Ea Lla Koto.
"Hooligans must be dealt with accordingly, Chiefs fans are a disgrace, to say the least. Why burn the stadium?" – pato
"The life of a single human being is worth a million times more than all the property of the richest man. It's nobody's fault that Chiefs lost. It's part of the game. There should be a winner and the loser in the game, not lives of people and destruction of property. All teams lose games. People should learn to accept defeat. Insult other teams and laugh at them, it's just stupidity. Whoever comments insulting a team that has lost does not understand sports. Speedy recovery to those who are injured." – Dangerous when provoked
"These barbarians almost killed a security guard. That was attempted murder. So much for 'love and peace'." – 2twice
"They must get a heavy fine. Hooliganism is not permitted in our football circle." – Theemba M
"As long as they're getting these lousy fines, PSL will never root out hooligans in sports. A R2 million fine plus 15 games behind closed doors and untelevised will send the message." – Hangerman
What message do you have for fans who resort to violence at stadiums when results are not going their way?
