As the latest installment of the Soweto Derby inches ever nearer, supporters from both divides have given their thoughts on what could happen in the tie.

Among many fixtures, not only in South Africa but on the continent as a whole, the game between Chiefs and Pirates gains massive interest.

While Mamelodi Sundowns lead the way as the benchmark team in PSL football, it can be said that Chiefs and Pirates will always generate the buzz and excitement among supporters.

In the first installment of the Soweto Derby, Chiefs came out on tops in a 2-1 victory at the FNB Stadium. A Keagan Dolly brace, including a dramatic 92nd minute penalty, was enough to see off the Buccaneers back in November 2021.

Judging by the reactions, Amakhosi supporters look forward to seeing coach Stuart Baxter include certain players in the game, with names such as Sibusiso Mabiliso and Kearyn Baccus being mentioned frequently.

Over at Pirates, sort of the same discussion was made, with one Pirates fan even stating that the club should play Thembinkosi Lorch on crutches if need be.
