Fans And Players React Over Hlompho Kekana's Retirement

The news of Hlompho Kekana calling time on his successful career saw plenty of fans and players paying tribute to Gonzalez.

What's the story?

On both Instagram and Twitter, Hlompho Kekana's former teammates and fans reacted to the news of his retirement. 

A lot of Kekana's former Sundowns teammates took to Instagram to pay tribute to their former captain, while a host of fans stormed the timeline to wish him well and also shared his thunderous long-distance goals.

Fellow competitors and former teammates took to Instagram to share their messages for Kekana.

Polokwane City baller Pule Tlolane said: "I am very proud to have shared the pitch with you 8... Happy Retirement Skipper." 

Pavol Safranko said: "I was lucky to enjoy time on the same pitch with you, role model."

Sibusiso Vilakazi said: "Demanded greatness over and over again!!! Every great story has an end and it was Great8." 

Cape Town City's Thato Mokeke said: "Enjoy your retirement, you have given the game a lot... much respect." 

Lebogang Manyana said: "May your retirement be as joyful as you baby boy." 

Kekana's former Masandawana teammates also posted messages on Instagram including; Surprise Ralani, Aubrey Modiba, Khuliso Mudau, Rushine De Reuck, Themba Zwane, and Lyle Lakay.
