Following their very public fallout, a raging debate has come to the fore about who is better between Gareth Bale and Zinedine Zidane. There are some social media users who seem to suggest that the Welshman is better than his French coach.

Statistically, the 30-year-old pips the French FIFA World Cup Winner. Both players have played over 200 games for the Spanish giants. When it comes to goals, Bale's 102 goals eclipse Zidane's 49. Bale's trophy cabinet also puts that of the 47-year-old to shame. Bale has 14 trophies while Zidane only has six. It is only on assists where Zidane gets one over Bale being on 66 while Bale only has 65.
Overall it can be argued that Zidane was the much better player who contributed more to the game. He was more pivotal for his country and had better technical ability. He has also won the FIFA World Cup and the much-coveted Ballon D'or.

This is why you should not be comparing Messi to Ronaldo. Zidane was a better and greater footballer than Bale but stats don't prove this sometimes. Stats are sometimes very misleading.

Has bale won a ballon d'or and a world cup. Oh and i love the way you keep out assists becauase zidane have more. Oh and 80% of those bale trophys were won under Zidane management.

Zidane arrived at Madrid at Bale's age right now. At 22-24, he had already won the WC, scored in final, and Ballon d'Or. He was a midfielder, Bale a forward. Zidane's last professional game was a WC.

The stats in this case don't make sense. As much as Bale appear to have better records, Zidane was miles away from this gentleman, Bale. You cannot compare the two. Yes Bale won more trophies, but still can't compare. ZIDANE is still miles ahead.

Based on stats Gareth Bale is a far better player for Real Madrid than Zinedine Zidane. Scored more goals, has more assists and definitely was more decisive than Zidane. But Zidane won the ballon d'or so they will pass. Nonsense.
