Kaizer Chiefs have appointed Patrick Mabedi as interim coach following Steve Komphela's resignation last Saturday, after the club's exit from the Nedbank Cup.
The Malawian was Komphela's assistant and will be in charge of the Glamour Boys for the remainder of the season. He will officially commence head coaching duties tonight, when the Phefeni side take on Golden Arrows away from home.
Supporter Club member and Amakhosi fan khosibybirth548 has voiced his opinion regarding the appointment of Mabedi, and also stated his belief that the Naturena team should perhaps not omit their fans' views when it comes appointing or firing a coach.
"One thing that I've learnt is that the management, when deciding whether to hang on to a coach or not, should take their fans into consideration. If you know that you are a well-supported team, you cannot do things as if you are Platinum Stars.
"The Komphela situation has been coming. Chiefs should have analysed and laid Komphela down because it was clear that fans had run out of patience. For Chiefs management to continue as if they were not aware of the risks involved in keeping Komphela on the bench wasn't wise and they have to take responsibility.
"When you budget or estimate you profits, I am certain that you factor in the support you receive from fans and supporters, yet when you analyse the risks, you fail to factor in their wishes, mood, etc. Isn't there risk analysis at Chiefs?"
Do you think clubs should consider including supporters when it comes to certain decisions?
