All eyes will be on Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns when they clash in a sold out MTN8 semi-final first-leg on Saturday afternoon.

Pirates were knocked out in the first round as defending champions last season but got past the quarter-finals this time around after edging Royal AM 2-1.

The Buccaneers were last in action a week before the FIFA break after they beat TS Galaxy 2-0, with Zakhele Lepasa playing a starring role.

Pirates will welcome back midfielder Goodman Mosele back from suspension while Vincent Pule, Terrence Dzvukamanja and Thabiso Monyane recovered from their injuries.

Holders Sundowns, meanwhile, made it into this stage after beating Tshwane rivals SuperSport United 2-0 in the quarter-finals.

The Brazilians, who are top of the Premiership table by five points, extended their winning streak to three matches in the league before the international break after edging AmaZulu 1-0.

Sundowns have won the last five meetings between the sides in all competitions, including a 4-1 mauling in Tshwane in their last encounter.
