Sundowns Confirm Starting XI To Face La Passe

Sundowns Confirm Starting XI To Face La Passe

Mamelodi Sundowns can officially secure their spot in the CAF Champions League group stages when they host La Passe in the second leg of their second preliminary round tie.

CAF Champions League

Teams: Mamelodi Sundowns v La Passe FC

Date: 14 October 2022

Venue: Loftus Versfeld

The Brazilians already have one foot in the group stages after registering a 7-0 win in the first leg last weekend which took place at Loftus Versfeld as well.

The second leg will take place at the same venue with Sundowns now the designated home side, but it is highly unlikely the South African champions will take their foot off the pedal.

Sundowns lead 7-0 on aggregate, although their biggest win in the competition came over fellow Seychelles side Côte d'Or with a 11-1 win in the 2019/2020 season, with the tie finishing 16-1 on aggregate.

The Brazilians come into the encounter having won their last five home matches and have also conceded one goal during that run.

Here's how they line up:

Mamelodi Sundowns: Pieterse, Lebusa, Mvala, Morena, Modiba, Zungu, Mailula, Maboe, Mkhulise, Sirino, Allende

Subs: Mweene, Kutumela, Boutouil, Jali, Motupa, Domingo, Mudau, Ralani, Maema
