Stellenbosch, meanwhile, come into the clash having won their last two league encounters, including a 3-0 win over Golden Arrows.
The Cape Winelands can move up to third spot with a win this afternoon and leapfrog Sekhukhune United.
Sundowns will be aiming to complete the double over Stellenbosch after securing a 1-0 win in the Western Cape back in December.
