Value Comparison Of Tshegofatso Mabasa Vs Samir Nurkovic

Value Comparison Of Tshegofatso Mabasa Vs Samir Nurkovic

Samir Nurkovic and Tshegofatso Mabasa are both on form for their respective sides, but what are their current values in millions on the market?

Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will lock horns in the quarter-finals of the Telkom Knockout competition this weekend, with one side high on confidence from their winning run in the league and the latter eager to gain momentum after a poor start to the season.

Both sides have noticeable standout players such as Samir Nurkovic and Tshegofatso Mabasa, however, what do the statistics and market values say about their performances this season?

Despite results not going Pirates' way this season, 23-year-old Mabasa has still been making his mark in front of goal and is the current top goalscorer for the Bucs, having totalled five in nine appearances all competitions so far.

According to the figures on transfermarkt.com, Mabasa's market value is currently at €400 000, which is ±R6.7 million when converted.

Nurkovic on the other hand, who's also Chiefs' top goalscorer, has been relishing playing in front of goal for Amakhosi (when fit) as they top the Absa Premiership log and lost just one game in all competitions this season.

The 27-year-old has scored four goals in eight appearances in all competitions for Amakhosi, having recently come back from a head injury which kept him out of action for just two encounters.

Nurkovic's current market value is €150 000 (±R2.5 million), just over R4 million less than Mabasa, although the Serbian's value is expected to rise as he continues on his form.

Who do you think out of the two strikers will put on a better show this weekend? Let us know in the comment section below.
