However, Amakhosi have a few injury concerns in their first team, with some of their players facing the possibility of missing both Telkom Knockout action and the Soweto Derby on October 27.
Chiefs confirmed yesterday that Lebogang Manyama has been ruled out for six weeks, which means that he will have to wait until the second half of the season to play in his first Soweto derby.
Leonardo Castro could also be a doubt for this weekend and the Soweto Derby as the player is still looking to fully recover from an ankle injury.
Dax Andrianarimanana is also currently nursing a calf strain, although Chiefs have confirmed that both him and Castro are making progress.
Lastly, Joseph Molangoane may play no part in Chiefs' campaign for the rest of the year. The player is successfully off crutches and undergoing rehab.
Pirates, on the other hand, have been boosted by the return of both Vincent Pule and Brilliant Khuzwayo, with the goalkeeper in contention to make his debut this weekend, while both players will be in line for a chance to feature in their first ever Soweto Derby.
