Head of Referees, Tenda Masikhwa, has lauded the officials for their officiating during the match.

"We have received massive positive feedback from all corners of the country including outside people who watched this derby across the world. It was refreshing to see even the spectators applauding the good work of our match officials. It is rare to see referees getting such positive feedback from the public," Masikhwa told SAFA's official website.

It has been promised that SAFA will continue assisting and referees to remain on top of their game.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed to the Siya crew from sources close to SAFA that the match officials have been paid their outstanding stipends.

"The monies have been paid to the match officials and everyone is happy," confirmed a match official speaking to the Siya crew on condition of anonymity.
