Kaizer Chiefs have good news ahead of tomorrow's Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates as Ernst Middendorp mulls over his starting XI at FNB Stadium…
The Glamour Boys are under pressure to pick up a victory against their bitter rivals as they look to make sure they keep their lead at the top of the Absa Premiership table following a tough start to 2020.
Chiefs have won half of their games this year so far after barn-storming start to the campaign in 2019, and have seen Mamelodi Sundowns close the gap on them to just four points with 10 games to go.
Now, as they look to extend their lead over third-placed Pirates, it is thought that three young defenders – Reeve Frosler, Siyabonga Ngezana and Njabulo Blom – have all been in full training again and are in contention for a return to action.
Ernst Middendorp explained before the Nedbank Cup defeat to Highlands Park that the three players had been placed on programmes in order to make sure they got back to full fitness, and the Siya crew is led to believe that they are all in consideration for the matchday squad.
It means that Chiefs have an almost clean bill of health going into the game with Pirates tomorrow afternoon, with Joseph Molangoane the only player that remains sidelined at this point in time.
