Kaizer Chiefs Have A Few Injury Concerns Heading In To Their Next Absa Premiership Fixture

Kaizer Chiefs left the FNB Stadium yesterday with three points and bragging rights, although they do have some other concerns.

Chiefs secured their third Soweto derby victory over Orlando Pirates this season after a 1-0 win on Saturday afternoon.

However, after a hard fought victory by Amakhosi, three of their key players picked up knocks in the encounter – which will be assessed and treated by the club's medical team ahead of their next Absa Premiership clash.

"Leonardo (Castro) had some issues and challenges at half-time, but we said okay, go another 10 minutes and Khama will come on, it is obviously a number of knocks, which is normal if you come out of a derby," Head Coach Ernst Middendorp told the media after the game.

"Lebogang (Manyama), I had to take him out because of a certain issue in terms of the calve, he got a knock. I think the biggest question mark we have to sort out in the moment is Willard Katsande, but let's see," he added.
