After being in the Mzansi for just over two months, Orlando Pirates head coach, Josef Zinnbauer is already aware of the importance of the Soweto Derby and what it means to the fans.
The Bucs will play hosts to Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon in a top of the table clash, as Pirates look to reclaim their second place position on the log.
"It is not a game for us, it is a game for supporters and we've given in the last eight games - a top performance most of the time, they were happy in the moment," Zinnbauer told media at the Woza Nazo derby event.
"We go on the pitch and we want, in all games, three points – it is a big game and very hard against the best team in the league…
"It is a derby, my players are so hot, I see it in the eyes, they want to play. I think it is a special game it is the same for Kaizer Chiefs, you can lose three in a row but this is another game. My players, they have hungry eyes in training," he added.
