This weekend, Juventus will be out to stretch their lead at the top of the log standings when they travel away this weekend to face Torino.

The home side are currently placed in sixth position with 22 points, while their opponents have collected 43 in 15 games.

Getting in on the predictions this week is retired South African footballer, Saul Molapo. Do you agree with his picks?

Real Valladolid v Atletico Madrid (La Liga)

Match 3 Soccer 6 Pool 15 December S6 V2 P1

League Rankings: Real Valladolid 12th Atletico Madrid 3rd

Useful facts: Atletico Madrid continue to gain momentum this season and are poised to put one over their opponents on Saturday. This game is of great significance to them in the sense that they could land up in second place behind Barcelona if they win, should Sevilla not collect maximum points against Girona on Sunday. Madrid have only lost one game in the league so far this season and it's hard to imagine they will succumb to Valladolid. The home side is one of the lowest scorers in the league so far, having netted only 13 goals in 15 league games.

Saul Molapo: Atletico Madrid win

Torino v Juventus (Serie A)

Match 5 Soccer 6 Pool 15 December S6 V2 P1

League Rankings: Torino 6th Juventus 1st

Useful facts: On the back of their UEFA Champions League group stages game against Young Boys tonight, log leaders Juventus travel to Torino where they will look for a win in order to tighten their grip at the top of the log standings. Their 1-0 win over Inter Milan, in what was a tight game, would have done a lot to boost their morale. There is also an unbeaten record they have to protect. For their part, Torino seem to be on an upward trajectory, having secured two wins and a draw in their last three league games. They have not done badly, but it is the seven draws that they have played that has cost them and they will go for a win against the giants. But it's a huge task against a Juventus side that has conceded only eight goals in 15 games so far, the best defensive record in the league.

Saul Molapo: Juventus win

Eibar v Valencia (La Liga)

Match 6 Soccer 6 Pool 15 December S6 V2 P1

League Rankings: Eibar 14th Valencia 15th

Useful facts: Judging from where the two sides are sitting on the league table, this should be a closely fought encounter, with Valencia perhaps under more pressure to get a result. They have played a whopping nine draws in their 15 league matches so far and a win will be a welcome relief. They do not score enough (12), but have the second best defensive record in the league, having conceded only 12 goals so far. Meanwhile, the home side has conceded 23 goals and it remains to be seen whether Valencia will take advantage of that statistic. This might well end in a draw.

Saul Molapo: Eibar win
