Microsoft have been rolling out announcement for their next-generation consoles, with the release date and price for the Xbox Series X now official.
There were numerous leaks over the last few weeks regarding the next generation of Xbox, and the team has now reacted quickly to give fans official information.
Earlier this week, Microsoft confirmed that the all-digital version of their next-gen console would be called the Xbox Series S, and would retail for $299. In the leaked information, the price for the bigger, more powerful Xbox Series X was listed at $499, which proved to be correct.
Xbox South Africa have also tweeted out what the consoles will cost locally, with the Series X retailing for R11 999, while the Series S will be R6 999.
They have now also confirmed that the new consoles will hit shelves on 10 November 2020, with pre-orders starting on 22 September 2020.
Players can also opt to join the Xbox All Access program, which will cost $35 monthly for the Series X, and $25 for the Series S. Both options include two years of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and includes EA Play membership, and allow you to pay off the console. Unfortunately, this is only available in 12 countries, and South Africa will not be one of them.
