The FIFA Ultimate Team transfer market is usually central for players looking to build a strong, competitive squad in EA FIFA, however, it seems to have crashed hard in the latest title.
As reported by the Mirror, stars such and Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have seen the value of their player cards drop considerably when compared to their price in FUT last year.
Giving an example, the point out that Messi's FUT card last year was worth around 650 000 coins, while this year you can get his card for around 500 000 coins.
Ronaldo has seen his rare gold item drop by almost half its value, with it costing 1.5 million last year, and now selling for around 750 000.
This drop is seen across the board though, with Manchester United's Paul Pogba seeing his rare gold card dropping from 200 000 last year to around 27 000 this year!
It is noted that there are only eight rare gold players that have a value of over 100 000, namely Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, N'Gole Kante, Mohamed Salah, Raphael Varane, Virgil van Dijk, Ronaldo and Messi.
Some traders believe that the ability to preview packs in FIFA 22 has had a big impact on the market, as it removes the risk of purchasing a pack you don't want, and in turn, lessens supply into the market.
