Free Co-op Mode Coming For Ghost Of Tsushima

Sucker Punch have announced that a new, online co-op multiplayer mode will be launching for Ghost of Tsushima later this year.

The highly acclaimed samurai epic from the creators of Infamous broke sales records after launch, and fans have been posting positive feedback regarding the adventures in Tsushima.

Players will now get the chance to create more memories in this open world, and can enjoy the action online with friends.

Explaining the new mode on the official PlayStation blog, Darren Bridges (Senior Game Designer), wrote, "Legends is an entirely new experience. It's a separate mode that doesn't follow Jin or the companions from his journey, but instead focuses on four warriors who have been built up as legends in stories told by the people of Tsushima.

"Ghost of Tsushima's single-player campaign focuses on an open world and exploring the natural beauty of the island, but Legends is haunting and fantastical, with locations and enemies inspired by Japanese folk tales and mythology and an emphasis on cooperative combat and action."

Four-player action will allow you to take on wave-based survival missions, where you lock blades with some of the toughest enemies that the game has to offer.

There will also be two-player co-op story missions that will build on the "foundation of combat from the single-player campaign but with new magical twists".

Following the release of the story and survival missions, there will also be four-player Raids added at a later stage.

The Legends mode will be added for free for owners of the PlayStation exclusive title. Check out the announcement trailer below:
