The EA Sports FIFA Player of the Month for July 2020 has been announced.
While many eyes in the Premier League had been focused on the battle for the top four over the course of the month, there was another team chipping away at safety.
West Ham were in danger of being sucked into a relegation battle but Michail Antonio found his best form at the right time, scoring eight goals and providing one assist to earn the coveted accolade.
His goals were vital as they secured points against Chelsea, Newcastle, Watford and Manchester United, while he also knocked in four against Norwich City.
Antonio will get a special FUT card with an 85 overall. His attributes also get a boost, with 94 for pace, 90 for physicality and 80s for dribbling, shooting and passing. His defensive attributes are at 61.
Announcing the news via their official Twitter account, EA SPORTS said, "What an incredible month it's been for @Michailantonio. He is your final 2019/20 @premierleague Player of the Month!"
