What's the story?
Although it didn't receive as much hype as the final #TOTY starting 11, EA Sports' first group of #TOTY Icons is a list worth celebrating.
For first time in FIFA history, Icon cards have been released along with the #TOTY promo, with six players revealed for Team 1.

Let's take a closer look at the players selected...
#TOTY Icons
To briefly explain the idea behind #TOTY Icons, The players picked once belonged to the best eleven of the year and would have received a TOTY card in FIFA back when this FIFA Ultimate Team promo wasn't conceptualised yet.
The requirement is that the legends picked are already existing as Icon cards in FUT 23. This is a continuation of EA's World Cup Icons series, which could set the tone for more theme-based Icons in the future.
The iconic Team 1 includes; Manchester United and England legend David Beckham, Dutch icon Ruud Gullit, Italian maestro Andrea Pirlo, former Inter and Argentina juggernaut Javier Zanetti, retired Serbian warrior Nemanja Matic and the classy Frenchman, Robert Pires.

It's not clear when #TOTY Icons Team 2 will be released, but it promises to live up to the unreal selection seen on Team 1.
