Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila have commented on a training ground bust-up involving two of their players, which has allegedly led to criminal charges being laid.
It is understood that a training ground scuffle ensued between two players believed to be Alfred Ndengane and Rhulani Manzini.
According to information provided to the Siya crew, the two experienced players came to blows following a verbal altercation that took place at the club's training facilities.
The crew understands that an unnamed player laid charges of assault against a teammate.
Contacted for comment by the crew, TTM liaison manager Rufus Matsena said the club would be dealing 'harshly' with the guilty party, in order to set a precedent for the rest of the players.
"Remember for every institution, you have to have a certain way in which you instil discipline within your workplace. I mean as much as they are soccer players, they start as employees. So if you let something like this happen, I mean you have small boys who are looking at senior players as role models. If senior players act in that manner, then you've got to come in, you know and if I may use the word 'harshly' at that," Matsena told the crew.
"For any person who misbehaves in the institution, you have to investigate, find out what happened, get to the root of it and try to find an amicable solution. If that means somebody needs to be punished for that, then so be it," he added.
It is unclear whether the two players will form part of the TTM squad that will take on AmaZulu in Durban on Sunday.
"Remember there are things that we are currently investigating, so you cannot just jump into disciplinary action before you complete your investigation. We are getting information from different angles not pertaining to this, but it's something that I can't divulge for now," Matsena concluded.
