The Siya crew understands that Moroka Swallows are in the process of officially parting ways with head coach Steve Komphela. Indications are that Musa Nyatama, who has been serving as an assistant coach since the start of the season, will take charge of the team for the second half of the campaign.
The well-travelled mentor has not been at training since the start of the new year and this publication has been informed that the relationship between him and chairman David Mogashoa is "shattered" following a strike by players over salaries.
This led to the dismissal of players in January, though there are those who have made a return to the club, including the likes of Daniel Akpeyi and Gabadinho Mhango. It appears Komphela will not be making a return to the Dube Birds for the second half of the campaign.
According to information from sources, the club is looking to finalise the matter in the coming days, as they look to focus on their upcoming matches in the DStv Premiership. They could make an announcement on the 56-year-old's departure soon, with indications that he is also open to making an exit following the tumultuous last few weeks with the side.
Following a good start to the season, the Dobsonville-based side dropped to 11th place on the log standings and will have their work cut out upon the resumption of the season.
