Such a deal would secure Nigerian defender Olisa Ndah's services until June 2027, reflecting the club's confidence in his abilities and contributions to the team when available.

Siya sources close to the Buccaneers have indicated that the decision to retain Ndah comes with a caveat: the club is open to letting him go should an attractive offer from a European or Middle Eastern team materialise.
"You know his initial contract is ending in June this year. He joined the team in 2021 and signed a three-year contract but now the club wants to keep him further. It's true last season was not a good season for him but he has come back strong this season and everyone at the club is happy with his performance and that's why they are offering him another three-year deal, until June 2027," said the Siya source.
"From where things are, we can say it's as good as done because it is about a 90% (chance of being) done soon. Since he is playing this season he also wants to stay and that makes things easier for all the parties involved," the source concluded.
Soccer Laduma had previously reported how Ndah's injuries had jeopardized potential moves overseas. Now that he is back in action, the possibility of an overseas move has not been ruled out, with the club's history of facilitating transfers for players receiving interest from abroad, according to a second Siya source.
"The overseas move is not completely out as there have been inquires in the past and if that chance arises again then the club is ready to give him that chance. They have done it with other players in the past and they won't stand in his way. But if there is nothing from Europe or the Middle East then he will stay for the next three seasons again," the source told Soccer Laduma.
Ndah, 26, formerly of Akwa United, has made 17 appearances in the DStv Premiership this season, despite being sidelined by injuries at times. His resilience and improved performances have evidently convinced Pirates of his value to the team, leading to the proposed contract extension.
This move by Pirates underscores their strategy of building a stable and competitive squad by retaining key players while also being open to opportunities that could benefit both the player and the club.
Ndah's potential contract extension, coupled with the club's willingness to facilitate his career growth through possible transfers, highlights the balanced approach Pirates are taking towards other players too in their squad management and player development.
Soccer Laduma contacted Pirates for a comment but no response was received by the time this story was published.
