The Siya crew has been informed that the Buccaneers are admirers of Miles’ work behind the scenes at City, where he has played an integral role in the physical preparation and performance optimisation of the squad since the club’s formation in 2016.
Miles, who holds a BSc (Hons) in Sport Science, currently serves as the Head of Sport Science and Performance at Cape Town City.
He is one of the longest-serving members of the club’s technical team and has earned praise across the league for his professional approach and meticulous attention to detail when it comes to player conditioning, recovery, and performance data management.
Sources close to the situation have indicated to the Siya crew that Pirates are assessing the possibility of recruiting Miles as part of their own technical set-up ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
With the Soweto giants currently undergoing structural tweaks with the arrival of Abdeslam Ouaddou, there’s a strong sense of recalibration at Mayfair, not just on the pitch, but in the wider football department too.
Soccer Laduma contacted Pirates for comment but no response has been received as yet.
