Orlando Pirates and another PSL club could be in discussions for a player swap deal that would see a new player join the Buccaneers, while Monnapule Saleng could leave the club for the upcoming season.
The club in question is Chippa United. Siya sources close to both clubs have indicated that negotiations are underway for an exchange involving Baraka Majogoro and Saleng, marking a significant potential transfer move within the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

Majogoro, the Tanzanian midfielder who has caught the eye of several top-tier clubs, including Kaizer Chiefs, could be at the centre of this negotiation.
"The talks are ongoing because Kaizer Chiefs also inquired about the same player that Pirates would like to swap with Chippa so it will all depend on those talks but the Pirates deal looks more likely than the Chiefs one as there will be a player swap involved. In that way things become much easier than a straight buy. But it's still early stages and anything could still happen whichever way it goes," the source informed Soccer Laduma.
This potential swap comes at a time when both players are seeking new challenges and opportunities. Saleng, in particular, is looking for a team where he can secure regular playing time, akin to his previous season's form with Pirates, according to a second Siya source.
"If Chippa agree to Saleng then it will benefit both parties as Saleng was not happy this season as he didn't play as much as he would have loved. He wanted to build on and continue the form from the other season but things didn't work out for him and now he wants to get more game time once again and the exchange deal with Baraka (Majogoro) would be good for Saleng as well," the second source stated.
With both Pirates and Chippa United looking to optimise their line-ups, the exchange of Majogoro and Saleng could provide a win-win situation for all parties involved, including the players themselves. However, any interest in signing Saleng doesnt mean that the player will definitely leave Bucs. Saleng played in Pirates' final game of the PSL season on Saturday, helping the club secure an important point against SuperSport United which was enough to qualify Bucs for the Caf Champions League.
Other Siya insiders have indicated that there is still a chance that Saleng could remain at Pirates, but if he does make up his mind to leave, then there will be no shortage of interest in his services.
Chippa United and Pirates were contacted for comment, but no response was received by the time this story was published.
