AmaZulu FC could be interested to move for a Kaizer Chiefs defender whose contract is expected to expire in June 2024, the Siya crew has been informed.
As previously reported by Soccer Laduma, there are several clubs interested in the services of the defender in question, Njabulo Ngcobo.

Recently, the Siya crew has also reported that Chiefs could want to keep their player beyond his current contract.
Siya sources close to AmaZulu have indicated that the club could be interested in the services of Ngcobo. The sources added that the club wants their former defender to significantly strengthen their defensive department next season.
"They are planning for next season and they have already looked at different players and one of them is Kaizer Chiefs defender Njabulo Ngcobo. What I am not sure of is whether they have approached Chiefs already or not," said the Siya source.
"But as a team they are looking at bringing him to the team. If it happens in January or in July, it will depend on the talks, if and when the talks begin. But AmaZulu want to move for him," the source told Soccer Laduma.
A second Siya source stated that since his contract at Chiefs is expiring in June 2024, he could then move on a free after that.
"Maybe AmaZulu will wait to see what happens between the player and Kaizer Chiefs. If he doesn't sign an extension then he will be a free agent and they would wait for that," said the second Siya source.
"But whatever the case may be they are really interested in his services and they want to make sure they have him for next season," the source observed.
Ngcobo had started his career at AmaZulu Reserves before being promoted to the senior team in 2016. He then went out on loan and came back in 2018 before finally leaving in 2019. He joined Chiefs from Swallows FC in 2021 on a three-year deal which expires in June 2024.
Soccer Laduma contacted AmaZulu FC and Chiefs for comment but no response was received while preparing this story.
